The High Streets in many cities around the world have been plagued with countless store closures and business owners are complaining about the increase of online sales.

You are a freelance journalist working for the EU (European Union) and, after conducting a survey on consumer shopping preferences, you are asked to write a proposal for representatives of the retail sector. Use the infographic below based on the survey to explain the current shopping preferences of consumers and the picture on the next page to offer solutions to increase in-store shopping. Decisions will then be  made about a suitable course of action.
